Retina Conditions
The retina is the light sensitive tissue lining the back of the inner eye that contain photoreceptors to capture light images. The retina then converts these light images into signals that travel through the optic nerve to the brain. Diseases of the retina vary greatly, from common and easily resolved to ones that are difficult to diagnose and treat. The most common retinal conditions include:
- Floaters
- Flashes
- Torn/Detached Retina
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
